Terms & Conditions for Art Buyers

Thank you for supporting the artists exhibiting at For the Wild at Jimmy’s Farm. The following terms and conditions apply to all successful bidders and buyers.

The Wild at Art auction is organised by Space for the Wild in support of its wildlife conservation work.

Bidders must be aged 18 or over and provide a valid name, email address and telephone number.

Pre-bids must be submitted through the official Wild at Art bidding form.

All pre-bids must be made in pounds sterling. The first pre-bid must meet the starting bid shown for the artwork. Subsequent pre-bids must meet the stated minimum increase.

The latest pre-bids table updates automatically but may take a few minutes to display a newly submitted pre-bid.
Bidders should refresh the page and check the latest amount before submitting their pre-bid.

Space for the Wild reserves the right to reject pre-bids submitted in error, pre-bids that do not meet the starting bid or minimum increase, and any pre-bid considered invalid or inappropriate.

Online pre-bidding closes at 5pm on Friday 2 October 2026.

Pre-bids are recorded with an automatic timestamp. If identical highest pre-bids are received, the earliest valid pre-bid will take priority.

Pre-bids received after the closing time may not be included in the live auction.

The private live auction will begin at 7.30pm on Friday 2 October 2026.

Space for the Wild will contact the highest pre-bidders before the auction and invite them to continue bidding by:

  • Attending the auction in person
  • Taking part by telephone
  • Providing a maximum bid so that someone can bid on their behalf

Anyone wishing to register for the live auction can also contact sarah.dawson@spaceforthewild.org.

The successful bidder for each artwork will be determined during the live auction and contacted using the details supplied.

Submitting a pre-bid or taking part in the live auction is a commitment to purchase the artwork if successful.

Successful bidders will be contacted with details of how to make payment.

All artwork purchases are considered final once payment has been received. Artwork remains the property of the artist or exhibition organiser until payment has been made in full.

Successful bidders and buyers may collect their purchased artwork from the exhibition space at the following times:

  • Sunday 4 October: from 4:00pm
  • Monday 5 October: 10:00am-3:00pm

If you are unable to collect your artwork during these times, alternative collection arrangements may be possible by prior agreement.

Please contact the exhibition organisers in advance if you require an alternative collection time.

Buyers may arrange for their artwork to be collected from the exhibition space and couriered to them.

Any courier or delivery service must be arranged and paid for by the buyer unless otherwise agreed. The buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery details and for liaising directly with the chosen courier.

The exhibition organisers and venue cannot accept responsibility for delays, loss or damage occurring once the artwork has been handed over to a courier arranged by the buyer.

Every reasonable care will be taken when preparing artwork for collection. Buyers should ensure that their chosen courier is appropriately experienced and equipped to transport artwork safely.

Where specialist packaging, crating or additional handling is required, any associated costs may be payable by the buyer.

Artwork should be collected within the stated collection period unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Artwork left uncollected without prior arrangement may be subject to storage or additional handling charges. The organisers reserve the right to make reasonable arrangements for the storage or return of uncollected artwork, with any associated costs payable by the buyer.

Buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves as to the condition and description of the artwork before completing their purchase. Where possible, artwork may be viewed during the exhibition prior to collection.

Space for the Wild may withdraw an artwork, correct information or amend the auction arrangements where reasonably necessary.

Bidder details will be used only to administer the auction, contact successful bidders and arrange payment or collection. Personal information will not appear in the public latest-bids table. See the Space for the Wild Privacy Policy for further information.

If you have any questions regarding payment, collection, delivery or your purchased artwork, please contact the exhibition organisers as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made.
