Why Young Ambassadors Matter

Conservation belongs to all of us.

When young people are given the opportunity to engage with wildlife and environmental issues, they bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm and energy.

Our Young Ambassadors help raise awareness, inspire their peers and demonstrate how small actions can make a real difference.

They are Generation Conservation in action.

Young Conservation Champions in Action

Generation Conservation is about more than learning about wildlife.

It is about giving young people the confidence and opportunity to make a positive impact.

Whether through fundraising, volunteering, sharing stories or encouraging others to care about nature, every action helps build a future where conservation becomes part of everyday life.

Our Young Ambassadors are helping show what that future can look like.

YOUNG AMBASSADOR

Meet Poppy

Giving old teddies a second chance

At just nine years old, Poppy came up with a brilliant fundraising idea.

By rescuing and rehoming unwanted teddy bears, she raised an incredible £350 for Space for the Wild while giving much-loved toys a second life.

Her creativity, kindness and determination have inspired everyone at Space for the Wild.

Poppy reminds us that conservation starts with compassion and that one person’s idea can make a meaningful difference.

YOUNG AMBASSADOR

Meet Leo

Our youngest volunteer

Leo, aged nine, is Space for the Wild’s youngest volunteer.

As a thank you for his support, Leo enjoyed a special behind-the-scenes visit with Ranger Will, where he met Diego and Brünhilda and learned more about their rescue stories.

Leo was also one of the first people to receive a Diego teddy bear, helping spread awareness of Space for the Wild and the importance of protecting wildlife.

His enthusiasm and commitment show how young people can play an important role in conservation.

Could You Be Our Next Young Ambassador?

We believe every young person has the power to make a difference.

Whether through fundraising, volunteering, learning, storytelling or inspiring others, there are many ways to support wildlife and conservation.

If you know a young person doing something amazing for wildlife, we’d love to hear their story.
