Happy Capy

I returned to painting after years away from the canvas. Inspired by my late father, Nick Walker, a watercolour artist, I grew up surrounded by his paintings. Returning to art has become a journey of rediscovery, offering joy and escape. It is a reminder that we can return to ourselves, that beauty can emerge from unexpected places, and that there is always the possibility of beginning again.

Everyone loves a capybara, so naturally, one had to make its way into my collection. For this piece, I wanted to embrace colour and playfulness, using bright, vibrant tones to capture the cheerful character of this much-loved animal.
