Space for the Wild is a young charity with ambitious goals, but our work is already making a difference.

From supporting international wildlife rescue projects and conservation initiatives to launching Generation Conservation and inspiring young fundraisers, every step helps create lasting impact for wildlife.

Together, our supporters, partners and volunteers are helping turn ideas into action.

One of Space for the Wild’s most ambitious campaigns to date, Bears Behind Bars was launched to help rescue Moon Bears from a lifetime of confinement and provide them with the opportunity for a safer future.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of supporters, the campaign has already raised almost £50,000 towards its goal.

Every donation helps move us closer to creating the space, facilities and long-term care needed to give rescued bears the second chance they deserve.

This campaign has also helped raise awareness of the wider challenges facing bears in captivity and the importance of long-term conservation solutions.

One of our first major achievements was becoming a core supporter of Bear Again in Romania.

This partnership helps provide specialist care for orphaned brown bear cubs and supports one of Europe’s leading bear rehabilitation programmes.

By helping cubs return to the wild, the project demonstrates how rescue and conservation can work together.

Generation Conservation has moved from vision to reality.

The launch of Big Bear Adventures, our first schools resources and the appointment of our first Young Ambassadors are helping connect young people with wildlife and conservation.

By encouraging curiosity, learning and action, we are helping build a future where conservation becomes part of everyday life.
